  • How the workplace is changing

As the world evolves, so does the workplace. Changes are constantly being made and we are constantly adapting to these changes. This course will give you information on how the workplace is changing and how to adapt to those changes.

  • Issues between generations

One of the biggest changes is the growing age differences between people in the working world. Each generation is different in many ways and it is important that we accept these differences and try to work through them in a productive way. This course will help you to identify these differences and work through them without creating conflict between employees.

  • How to manage time and identify priorities

One of the biggest challenges as a supervisor is managing time effectively. The Supervisor Core Skills course will give you the tools you need to better plan and prioritize your time.

  • What makes a good leader

Being a good leader is an important part of being a supervisor. When you are a good leader your employees will respect you more and they are more likely to work harder to help the organization succeed. The course will help you develop the skills you need to be a better leader.

  • The situational leadership model and how to apply it

The situational leadership model is designed to show that effective leadership varies, not only with the person or group that is being influence, but it will also depend on the task, job or function that needs to be accomplished. This course will introduce you to this type of leadership and show you how you can use the model in your organization.

  • The four stages of team evolution

When a group of people are first formed into a team, their roles and interactions are not established. Some individuals may merely act as observers while they try to determine what is expected from them while others may engage the process immediately. The Supervisor Core Skills course will show you the four stages of team development and will show you how knowing the four stages will benefit you, your employees and your organization.

  • Communication; questions, listening skills and non-verbal messages

Communication is an important part of being a good leader. The Supervisor Core Skills course will give you the tools you need to be a better communicator.

  • Feedback as a way to improve performance

Part of being a good leader is being able to give good, constructive feedback. When you take time out of your day to talk to your employees about how they are doing and how they can improve, in a positive manner, you will see great improvement in their work. This course will teach you how to give constructive feedback that will help your organization grow.

  • Ways to motivate without money

Although money is a great incentive, there are many other ways you can motivate your employees that have nothing to do with cash. The Supervisor Core Skills will give you some ideas of ways to motivate your employees without using money.
