Conflict Resolution Skills is a two-day workshop that puts some of these Conflict Resolution Skills in your hands, so you are more willing to step up to the plate and deal with issues at hand. You can transform problems into opportunities that eliminate power struggles and adverse positions.

  • What is a win-win approach

The win/win approach is about changing the conflict from adversarial attack and defence, to co-operation. The Conflict course will give you tips on how to communicate with employees without causing, or worsening conflict.

  • Ways to respond to problems

Problems occur in every aspect of our lives. Sometimes we can change them and other times we just have to accept them. Often times, small problems can turn into larger problems when you respond to them in a negative way. The Conflict course will teach you how to respond to problems in a positive and productive way.

  • Messages we give ourselves

The negative messages we give ourselves often inhibit our ability to deal with conflict. The Conflict course will teach you how to send yourself positive messages so that you are better equipped to deal with conflict.

  • Developing our ability to empathize

Empathy in the workplace is an important part of having good relationships with employees. When others feel that you care about them they are less likely to start conflict with you. When they feel that you respect them, they will respect you in return. The Conflict course will help you develop your ability to empathize in the business world.

  • Appropriate assertiveness

Appropriate assertiveness plays a big part in being able to communicate with your employees without causing conflict. The Conflict course will teach you how to use assertiveness appropriately and productively in the workplace.

  • Cooperative power

Cooperative power is a great way to involve employees in making big decisions for the organization. By involving employees you will be able to use their views and ideas to make better decisions for you, your employees and the organization. The Conflict course will help you to incorporate cooperative power in your workplace to decrease the possibility of disagreements and conflict.

  • Managing our emotions

Having emotions is part of being human. We all get upset, stressed and frustrated at times. Although it is impossible to eliminate these emotions, there are healthy ways of dealing/managing them so that they don't affect your work. The Conflict course will help you learn how to manage your emotions in a healthy and productive way.

  • Willingness to resolve

Although a lot of the time we can avoid conflict, there are also times where we can't. When we are faced with a conflict we tend to be stubborn and small conflicts can turn into big ones. The Conflict course will teach you how to become more willing to resolve conflicts in your workplace.

  • Developing options

A big part of resolving conflict and disagreement is coming up with options that all parties will agree on. The Conflict course will give you the skills you need to develop options that both you and your employees can all agree on.

  • How to effectively handle a conflict situation

Because we can't always avoid conflict, we need to learn how to handle conflict in a productive and effective way. This course will give you tips on how to better handle conflict so that small problems are taken care of before they get worse.

  • Opportunities to put skills into practice

Although all if this is great information, we won't fully know if we understand the information we have received unless we are put in a situation where it is needed. The Conflict course will let you put your skills into practice by putting you in hypothetical situations where the skills you have learned will help you to avoid/work through a conflict.
