Hiring smart using behavioural interviewing skills is a very reliable and defensible candidate selection process when we use it properly.

The most important thing we can do for our organization is hire good people. This is easier said than done. Hiring is not yet a science. However, there are things we can do to give ourselves the best chance of choosing the right people. Over these two days we explore Behavioural Event Interviewing (BEI), sometimes called Behavioural Description Interviewing (BDI). This is a competency based assessment method that uses customized questions to gain specific understanding of the knowledge, skills and attributes brought by a candidate. 

Participants will explore designing BDI questions, preparing for interviews, probing candidate response and managing challenging candidates. They will practice taking appropriate notes, fair evaluation practices and reference checking, for a defensible hiring process.
